I just cant believe how big my little boy is getting. Coast is coming up on 2 yrs and 3 months, he is a handful lately but has been so funny at the same time. I have to document these silly things that he has been saying..
After getting his bum changed on the floor:
Mom- "That diaper is so heavy!"
Coast- (walking over to pick up the diaper) "Yeah it is, its ok, I'll throw it away!"
Nate got free T-shirts from his workplaces Diabetes walk on Saturday, so Coast wore that enormous tee to bed that night:
Mom- "Coast, I like your shirt!"
Coast- "Yeah, I really really like my shirt!"
Coast woke up one morning around 6:30 and came into our bedroom as he usually does, and laid down with me on top of the blankets:
Coast- " Mom, I want the covers on, its cold!"
Two minutes later...
Coast- "Mom, my shirt is wet!"
While asking him about his diaper:
Mom- "Hey Coast is your diaper soggy?"
Coast- (shaking his head) "No, my bums not soggy!"
Before the baby comes, I wanted to finish up some decorating in Coastens room, so we went shopping. Later I took him into his room to show him:
Coast- (all smiles) "I love it!"
Later that night after spending the day shopping, I decided to put the glass knobs that i'd finally found onto my old yellow dresser. Sometime during, I started having some contractions:
Mom- "Oh Coast, Mommy needs to sit down for a minute!"
Coast- (Super dramatic, throws himself on the floor with his hand on his head) "My baby hurts!"
Mom- "Where is your baby?"
Coast- (Pointing to his belly) "Right here!"
I seriously had tears streaming from my eyes with that one, he is so funny! Its moments like those that make all the HARD times worth it. I think he might have to be my focal point during my all natural labor and delivery! He is definitely a boy, who loves to wrestle, tackle, play so rough, and sound like a monster. But he also has a sensitive side, that loves to cuddle, play with my hair (I think its cuz he sees me doing hair all the time, either way I LOVE it), wear my shoes around the house, and kiss and cuddle babies (seriously he loves them so much, I get kind of scared that he will smother them). We have been so blessed to have such an amazing little guy come into our lives. I get a little emotional that all of my time cant be spent with only him anymore and I'll have to share it between the 2 babes and my wonderful husband. I am excited for what the future holds, and I will up-date ya'll on my pregnancy very soon (5 1/2 weeks left), YAY....
I was just wishing you would make a blog post!!! I love to read the little things Coast says. I cannot believe Larkin will ever talk like that. Good luck with the next 40ish days. I'm glad you are hanging it there! Love and hugs from Cali!
ReplyDeleteCute Coasten! I can totally picture him saying those things ... that's hilarious. I'm impressed you're going natural with child labor - you're much more brave then me. I opted to take the "princess cruise" as my OB put it. I guess I'm just kinda' wimpy when it comes to pain, but I'm sure you'll do amazing.
ReplyDeletei remember when you got him that shirt! what a funny little man, i can totally hear him saying that too. it may look like i stock your blog but whenever stella see's me on the computer she runs over and says "see coasten please momma? see coasten?" i hope your doing well and staying de-stressed=)
