Stitches

I knew I was not out of the woods, but I was hoping this wouldnt happen for a while. Sunday at church Coasten was crawling around during Sacrament meeting, with his friend Stella! Nate was out in the foyer with him, when all of the sudden I along with the entire chapel full of ward members, heard a scream of death. I knew at that moment it was my child! I was so nervous to see what had happened. I dont like seeing blood, but seeing blood streaming from your childs face is even worse. My heart was breaking. I was so glad that Nate was there, it helped calm me down and stop me from crying! When I finally looked I knew Coast needed stitches. So off we went for the 2nd time in a 1 weeks period, to the insta care. We cannot even tell you how hard it was to hear your child screaming at the top of his lungs, trying to hold him down while 3 stitches were put in his little eyebrow! Sometimes being a parent is so hard, I didnt realize that when accidents happen it would hurt me so much more than it hurt Coast. Nothing is supposed to ever happen to children, they are so pure and innocent. Anyway we put him to bed when we got home, and when he had fallen asleep I ran in to check on him, and I saw his bear by his side with the band-aid that was on his eyebrow, now banded across his bears chest. Oh so cute, and what a little stinker for taking it off! He is doing well, such a tough little guy!
Later that evening we went over to my parents house for dinner. My Dad took Edyn and Coast outside to play, and when I went out I saw the 2 of then standing on the bench of the deck looking down the bluff and barking at the dogs! SOOO cute and funny

  1. i am so sorry that happened i really know your pain tan had to have a spinal tap 1.5 years ago and even though he was heavily medicated he would squeeze my hand and tears would roll down his face every time the needles was moved, it was heart breaking. I am so sorry.

  3. Ohhhhh, poor little guy! Luckily I haven't had to deal with anything like that (surprisingly, but knock on wood :) It is truly the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with when my kids are sick or hurt. It is SO sad! I hope he feels better quickly!
